Layne Energía SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Layne Energy with 720,000 acres CBM
concession is the Arauco Basin of South Central Chile. The basin is served by major
transportation facilities and is a well known coal basin.
Layne Energia has signed a 35 year operating agreement with the Chilean government and
has an 85% working interest in the project. Exploration coring and initial production
evaluation will take place during the 2007 and 2008 summer drilling season.
The Arauco Basin has potential to service the nearby industrial city of Concepción as
well as the growing economies of the area.
